The 6 Key Issues and Risks in Carbon Project Agreements (webinar)

Matt Egerton-Warburton joins The Carbon Farming Foundation to take a deep dive into the legal side of Carbon Project Agreements. Matt has a keen interest in ecosystem health, currently sitting as a non-Executive Director on the board of Mulloon Institute. His background in corporate governance and navigating mergers and acquisitions has positioned him well to advise numerous large landowners initiating carbon farming projects. He will be sharing key learnings from this experience.

Within this webinar, Matt will be touching on some of the key issues and risks of a carbon project agreement. He will be sharing some tangible recommendations for landowners to consider in order to receive an optional outcome. They’ll be discussing:

  • The 6 key issues and risks in Carbon Project Agreements

  • Who is the Project Proponent?

  • Ownership of ACCUs

  • When to commence a Carbon Project

  • Land Management conflicts and resolutions

  • Selling land and novating the Carbon Project Agreement

  • Who controls the sale of ACCUs?

Matt will also be unpacking the three basic business models of carbon service providers, and the pros and cons of each. It’ll be a great way to get up to speed on the different Developer options out there and how they may help – or hinder – your project.

Make sure to bring any questions as we will have time at the end for a Q&A!
