Dr David Mitchell

Dr David Mitchell currently leads the NSW DPI Agriculture Water Policy and Planning team, and provides input into the water policy responses and delivers timely advice to NSW government on behalf of agriculture in NSW. David has been leading multidisciplinary research and development teams investigating a range of water quality  issues such as dryland salinity and diffuse source pollution from intensive coastal agriculture for 20 years.  

David’s aim is to provide options for sharing of our natural resource base by encouraging sustainable agricultural practices by providing leadership, research, development and policy reviews into use of water for agriculture
