Where the Water Starts – Bungendore film event

  • Bungendore School of Arts 57 Gibraltar Street Bungendore, NSW, 2621 Australia (map)

The Braidwood Greens are hosting a screening of Where the Water Starts - a film event to learn more about the impacts of brumbies and climate change on the fragile alpine ecosystem, particularly within the Kosciuszko National Park.

This screening will feature special guests Richard Swain, who stars in the film, and Bungendore local, Professor Mark Lintermans who will speak about his research into endangered native fish in the Snowies and the effects of brumbies on the survival of these species.

Where The Water Starts brings together respected Aboriginal community leaders as well as business people, a local farmer, a scientist, a former parks officer and a social historian. It focuses on the themes of Caring for Country as a shared responsibility of all Australians and that the best of Aboriginal connection and regenerative science can work together for a better future for the alpine environment and the planet.
