ANU Sustainable Agriculture Field Study

Approximately 40 environmental science students from ANU’s Fenner School of Environment and Society will be visiting The Mulloon Institute, as part of their studies into Sustainable Agricultural Systems.

The students will be learning about current issues facing Australia’s farmers and land managers – production limitations, regulation and policy constraints, market approaches and consumer engagement, as well as gaining an understanding of the large economic drivers to producers.

Students will visit a variety of farms in the Mulloon Catchment, each with different land uses: biodynamic/organic egg and cattle operations at Mulloon Creek Natural Farms, permaculture and sustainable food production at Caroola Farm, and urban waste recycling at the Landtasia Compost facility.

With Dr Craig Strong (Australian National University) and Luke Peel (The Mulloon Institute).
